This app is a guide, not a replacement for your judgement
The app plans training for a team in general. It doesn’t know each player’s fitness, injuries or health. The coach or manager running the session is responsible for deciding what each player does on the night.
Before training
- Players with a medical condition, injury or recent illness should check with a doctor or physio before doing hard running or gym work.
- Always do the full warm-up. Don’t skip it to save time.
Stop straight away if a player has:
chest pain, trouble breathing, dizziness or fainting, a racing or irregular heartbeat, or sharp pain in a muscle or joint.
In an emergency, call 112 or 999. Know where your club’s defibrillator is.
Head injuries
Any player with a suspected concussion must stop and not return that day. They should only return to training after following a graded return-to-play plan and being cleared by a doctor.
Returning from injury
Bring players back gradually and follow their physio’s advice. The app’s plan is for fit, available players.
Underage teams (U14, U16, U18)
- All sessions must be supervised by adults following your club’s safeguarding policy.
- Gym work for U14 and U16 must be supervised, with technique coming before weight.
- If a player seems unwell, tired or in pain, they sit out. No exceptions.
The fitness check
It’s a hard, all-out run. Only players who are well and fully fit should do it. Warm up fully first.
Training on your own (“Can’t make tonight?”)
Run somewhere safe and well lit, tell someone where you’re going, and wear something visible in the dark. If anything feels wrong, stop.
Weather
In heat, take extra water breaks and reduce the running. On frozen or waterlogged pitches, switch to a lighter session or move indoors.
The Week check is a warning, not a guarantee
Green doesn’t mean a week is safe for every player. Watch your players and adjust.
